About Ilam Durbar Tea

Our tea gardens sit between 1,500 and 2,200 metres above sea level, in the belt of mist that gives Ilam tea its characteristic depth. Cool nights slow the growth of the leaf, which concentrates the sugars and aromatics that make high-altitude tea distinctive.

Every leaf in this store was hand-plucked, with-picked and processed within a few kilometres of the field it grew in. Nothing is blended or flavoured.

• Direct trade — we buy from the gardens we work with, not from brokers.
• Small batch — each lot is processed and packed separately so you can taste where it came from.
• Full transparency — the district, elevation, harvest season and weight are listed on every product page.
• No artificial flavouring, colourants or scent additives of any kind.
