Frequently asked questions

Brewing, storage, shipping and returns — the things people ask most.

Common questions

How should I store the tea?
Keep it sealed, away from light, heat and moisture, and out of the fridge — condensation will dull the aroma. Our resealable pouches are foil-lined for exactly this reason.
How long does it stay fresh?
Unopened, around 12 months. Once opened, 3–6 months depending on how tightly you reseal it. Green and white teas are the most aromatic in their first year.
How do I brew it?
About 2–3 g per 200 ml of water at 80–90 °C. Steep 2–3 minutes for black and oolong, 90 seconds for green, 3–4 minutes for masala chai. Our higher-altitude leaves tolerate a second and third infusion.
What is a first flush?
The first picking of the season, usually in spring. It tends to be brighter and more delicate than later flushes, with higher astringency.
Is the tea organic?
Our gardens use no synthetic pesticides, and every lot is single-origin so you can trace it to a specific garden, elevation and harvest season. Certification paperwork for individual lots is available on request.
What are the delivery times and costs?
Inside Kathmandu Valley, 1–2 working days. Elsewhere in Nepal, 2–5 working days. Free shipping on orders over Rs. 2000. See the shipping page for full details.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Cash on delivery, and eSewa for orders placed through the website.
Can I return something?
Yes — unopened, unused pouches can be returned within 7 days of delivery for a full refund. If something arrives damaged, send us a photo and we will replace it.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes. Get in touch with your quantity and the teas you are interested in and we will send a quote.
